Custom Tune poor downshifting

I have heads, cam and some other things that require a custom tune along with a Mopar TCM. When I downshift the rpms just hang, they did this before the new TCM. Any ideas on how to cure this? I really miss the engine braking I use to have.

Maybe I need to explain more, when the car was stock when I downshifted in autostick I would get engine braking and the car would actually slow down rather quickly, now with the custom tune downshifting really does nothing but drop the gear and the car slows down due to rolling resistance instead of actual engine braking. I was hoping the Mopar TCM would help with that, it didnt but helped in many other areas.

So any idea on what needs to be tweaked to get some solid engine braking?

Vacuum reservior. Engine braking is caused by vacuum, the cam reduced the vacuum, so you lose engine braking. I have the same issue. Thats why I had to change the brakes at 16k miles.

I'm gonna be experimenting with a canister in the next few weeks, so we'll see if that solves the issue. I'm guessing it will, but don't really wanna say for sure until I test it.
