5.7 hemi cam questions

Post by C.Roser »

I have an 09 5.7 hemi and would like to cam it out, i just have a drop in kn filter and the predator. i want some more low end power but maintain everyday driving that can work with oem engine components. Any advice on a good cam? sorry if this question is out of place it just seemed like i'd get more feed back here.

The sidewinder cam is a good choice for a daily driver. Do a google search and see what people who have installed one think. I race with the Mopar drag team and we use them and have had good results.

x2..........You can't go wrong with the Sidewinder. You should check out the Dodge Ram Truck forum on DODGETALK DOT COM

Sidewinder will not work for him. He's got an 09, he needs a VVt Eagle cam. I'd probably go with a Spartan Eagle from Inertia.

on Inertia's website i found the spartan but don't see anything about an eagle. What about arrington cams from shophemi.com. I am liking those

Scroll down on Inertias site. The Eagles are under the 6.1's.

Arrington has a pair of Eagle cams (same cam; one billet, one reground stock). Those will work for you. I'd definetly go with the Billet one and not the reground one though. More reliable.
