Unfortunately the problem we have isn't to do with the connection of the cable. Its the CALID reading that is different to that of those in the US. Thanks for trying anyway mate.

Mike do you know what the problem is with downloading the tune for international vehicles or is it still being worked out. From what I have seen the PCM's are all the same part number woldwide, so is it the tune setup that differs between us and the USA or is it a code setting that is holding it up (eg VIN number - maybe they differ to the USA - for example an extra digit or format).

I am willing to help out any way possible should you have the need. I also have access to a dyno and can have him work in with you/Diablo if need be.

Either way, I would really like this to work as with what I am wanting to do, I require the custom tuning part of what this tool offers. Do you accept bribes...

Hi Mike.

I spoke with John today and he mentioned the possibilty of us having this working within a week. That is great news. He mentioned there is enough memory to handle seperate tunes for international cars.

My question (and this is based on the statement made that there will be no changes to any anti pollution devices) will we have the same tunes 91/93 Performance CAI as what others currently have or will ours be slightly de tuned due to the the changes not being made (pollution gear). Of course you can't get the most out of a tune unless all parameters are modified in conjunction with the other.

How does this then relate to what we can modify under custom tuning through CMR dealers either here or abroad. Being that there is no one here in Australia yet, this could be difficult for a US based dealer to modify a tune for us seeing that there will be tunes for local and international markets.

Will we be limited to what we can do with custom tuning due to the new parameters being built into the Predator and software?

I know its early days yet and that you are still working on it, I just want to ensure the unit will perform just like I hoped it would and for the reasons I purchased it.

Hope you or someone can answer these questions for me.

We never really planned to support any international calibrations.
If you cannot wait until we take the time required to develop tunes for ALL of the different international calibrations, then please feel free to return your tool.

If you would like, I will not tell you we are working on it any more.

These types of things should take weeks to sort out, and the only reason we can do it quicker is because we have the best talent in the business.

G'day guys.

Please follow these instructions as they may be of assistance.

This will only be applicable to those who have received the update file from Diablo. Anything else please PM me.

Step by Step instructions.

Please uninstall and delete all existing Diablo programs and files.

Please reinstall the most current DS Downloader http://www.diablosport.com/downloads/pr ... .9.6.2.exe

Please copy this file to an easy to locate area on your computer (Your desktop or C:\temp would be best) http://www.diablosport.com/downloads/pr ... 8t16a.crom

1. Please copy and save the updated file from Diablo to an easy to locate area on your computer (Your desktop or C:\temp would be best).
2. Start up DS Downloader
3.Connect Predator to your computer/downloader
4. Under Express Tune Mode click Send CROM file to Predator. Here it will ask you to locate the file you saved prior (8t16a.crom) and update to predator. Ensure that when it is done that this version is shown at the top of the Predator. It will look like this – Predator v.8t16a.
5. Run the Calibration update. This should allow you to do so. This will take around 2-5 minutes (maybe longer depending on connection speed)
6. Take Predator out to your car. Before plugging it in ENSURE EVERYTHING IS TURNED OFF. Radio, interior lights, aircon, anything plugged into cigarette lighters unplugged etc. Ensure wipers are off also.
7. Plug Predator into your car and follow instructions on the screen.
8. Allow Predator to save stock backup tune from your car. Start to finish here may take around 10 minutes. It is normal for headlights to stay on during this process as well as to turn on and off a few times.
9. Once completed it will now ask you to update you Predator from Diablo's website. This is also normal even though you have downloaded 8t16a.crom.
10. Going back to your computer, re connect Predator to your PC & DS Downloader. You now need to update/load the attached file received from Diablo into your Predator. This is file 8t16x.crom. Load this the same way you did step 4. Once download is complete it should now work on your car. (DO NOT USE CALIBRATION UPDATER AGAIN).
11. Connect Predator back into your car and away you go.
