That's strange, I'll pm you my email address. They must be getting blocked somehow, it's our company email so there shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks

With the extreme power puck are you able to change the tunes from like extreme to tow on the fly?

Not that I know of, if you use the dial for the puck you can change the puck settings but the tunes you cannot do on the fly.

I used the stacker tunes in the Trinity just because I prefered to set it and forget it but I have to be honest, I seen no increase in power or mpg with the regular extreme and the extreme stacker tune. I couldn't even tell you if the puck I have is working. Truck runs and no codes but just don't see a difference.

If you have a stock fuel system, the tunes come close to maxing it out, so theres not much left to get out of the puck.

If you upgrade the fuel system, you'll see more gains ;)

Thanks Mike, but I found my problem. I thought all you had to do is load the extreme stacker tune. Well I never turned the puck on in the options menu, doh, but there aren't any instructions for this stuff, just learning as I go. I also enabled the puck reduction feature on some of my gauges and it works as well. Haven't played with it much yet but it seems like once it hits one of set points to reduce power to the puck I have to go back in and turn it back up, might reset when the truck is shut off but not sure.

Now that I've got the puck working, and boy does it work :D my boost gauge has been acting up. It usually makes 30-32 but now it stops exactly at 20.34. Not sure what that is about, I think it's still making boost past that but it isn't showing. I do have a adjustable wastegate but didn't think a tune should effect that.

I also figured out you can adjust the puck on the fly with the Trinity, without the knob. I thought you could but had never found it. I'm happy again about the power and mileage.

edit again:

I've had some more time to mess with it and I double checked with the mpa and the boost is quiting at 20.xx. It also almost sounds like it's spark knocking, not sure what they call it in a diesel, right when the boost lays down. Did some experimenting and if i turn the puck down some, say to 60% it picks up 3 or so pounds of boost but quits and makes the same spark knocking sound. Up until that point the truck runs it's ass off and under normal driving is fine, just when you lay in it. Is this the point where the truck is running out of fuel or is the noise and boost issue something else ?

I also turned off all puck reduction settings just for testing but if this is a fuel issue I'll have to set something up on boost or fuel pressure to reduce the puck I guess.

Thanks
Matt

The EPP is a boost fooler as well, which is why you are seeing Boost stop climbing.

Dont worry, its still there ;)

Glad you found the extra power, take it easy on that trans!

Trans just got done lol but it went 180'000. Got a few more questions for you.

If the boost is still climbing then am I no longer seeing a accurate boost reading through the Trinity ? am I seeing the "fooled" reading? I thought my year truck with the mechanical wastgate still could go up to 28 psi without needing the boost fooler, I've actually hit up to 32 without throwing codes with just the Trinity alone. Never used a fooler so don't know if that's the way it works or not. That's one reason I bought the puck because I figured I would need it sooner or later. Also when I turn the puck down the boost numbers go back up. Since I'm using the Trinity for my only boost gauge I would like to make sure I'm getting a accurate boost reading somehow.

Also, on the fuel pressure, how will I know when I max it out ? The rail pressure only reads in Mpa and I'm not sure what that's supposed to be to keep it safe. Any other diesel guys on here can help me there too. When I turn the puck up to 100%, actually only ever registers 95.xx on the gauge, the max fuel pressure hits 101.5 Mpa and quits before seeing shift points, seems to be where the boost quits too. But when I turn the puck down to say 60% the max fuel pressure will got to 155-160 Mpa and the boost will pick up some and pulls longer through the rpm range. If I turn the puck off the fuel pressure stays about the same max but seems to be more under normal driving and the boost numbers go back up but you can defenitely tell the puck is off at that point and the power is back to Trinity alone.

I don't race the truck but I like to know if I want to run it hard everything is capable of handling the power. I've been thinking about turbo and intercooler upgrades but with the fuel system being so expensive on these things I want to make sure that is up to par first.

Thanks
Matt

Found out my rail pressure is way below where it should be, even without the puck turned on. Explains pretty much all of it. New lift pump set up on the way and hoping the injector pump can live a little longer.
