Trinity working in a JK Rubicon Unlimited with a 5.7 Hemi ?

Post by Truman »

Hi there,

I plan to get a 2009 5.7 l Hemi (VVT) from a Ram swapped into my JK Rubicon Unlimited. The trans will be the 545RFE (also from the truck). The computer will also be the one from the truck.
Is the Trinity supporting this combination and will all the JK/Rubicon specific setting options work on this setup ?

Thank you in advance for your answer,

Chris

Did you use a kit? Some of the kits have locked PCMs.

If it is a truck PCM and trans, and the Trinity does not ask you to perform a 'calibration update' then you should be fine.
If it asks you to do a calibration update, stop right there and re-evaluate how badly you want to tune that Jeep ;)

Has anybody in the universe been able to tune one of these yet? I have a client with an AEV kit and would love to do a magnacharger...

In the universe....yes.

Dave at B&G can pretty much flash anything to do anything.
He has some capabilities...but, he tunes how he tunes, and thats it.

Just to warm up that thread: I now have a 2010 VVT Hemi in my 2008 JKU Rubicon (and not a 2009 as mentioned in the first post) and would like to know, whether the Trinity is supporting the 2010 pcm and also allows the Wrangler features.
Is the pcm hack to make it compatible to the jeep a problem, when using the Trinity ?
