I bought a predator from a guy on craigslist which was listed as a U7135. The tool was for my 2006 300C. When I plugged it in, the Predator was unable to read my car's info. Naturally, the S/N and Model # sticker are missing. Here's what I have for information:
1. A round sticker which says SC COBRA (Supercharged Mustang Cobra?)
2. Version: v.7r12d
3. S/N: 200058d
4. TOAD: 1084469621
The guy said he found it in the trunk of his car when he bought it but has since sold the car. He never specifically stated WHAT his was. He had "no idea" what the Predator was for. Didn't even know if it was VIN locked. Of course, the price was incredibly low so it's not a huge loss. Can anyone tell me what I have? (Believe I'm holding a U7142, but not sure.)
No idea what I have...

WHen you plugged it in, what did it say when it booted? The boot screen will tell you what it is. Definetly sounds like a U7142.

Ok, then that makes sense. It says "Cobra" when it starts up. But I also believe it's married to another car still. It has an option in one of the menus to "restore original tune". Not that it matters since I don't have a Cobra!

I also got ahold of the guy and he said his car was a Challenger R/T. He just assumed since he found it in the trunk of that car, it was FOR that car.

yep.. it's a locked predator for a mustang cobra...
