03 Cobra won't start

In the process of writing a program to my PCM, my Predator got unplugged. Now the odometer reads ----- and the theft light flashes. The car will turn over, but not start. The tune says "Last tune did not install. Return to original backup?" Or something of the sort. While going thru the restore process, the tune doesn't recognize the key being turned on and asks to reboot. The Ford dealer says the PCM is toast because their computer does the same thing. Is this right? The car is 200 miles away, so the dealer will have to do any troubleshooting. I just need to know if there's any way possible to avoid buying a PCM.

So much for that, force tune still didn't fix it. PCM is fried.

is the tune at least salvageable?

Hmmm...when they called, they said the battery dies during the flash, but you say it was unplugged...which was it?

Battery dying is bad, unplugging should be recoverable.

It was unplugged. They told me they did everything you guys told them to and it still wouldn't communicate.

Odd. They called and said the battery dies during the flash, and that would lead to the PCM not responding.
Unplugging in the middle of the flash is not a big deal generally on these cars, as it will always recover....

Get Bit, I was the one that they spoke to on the phone and to back up what Mike is saying, they specifically told me the battery died during the upload. Were you the one flashing the vehicle at the time it happened, or them? Trying to figure out which information is second hand.

I was the one trying to install the tune when the cable came unplugged. When the car failed to start, I had it towed to them. I told them it lost communication and the tech hooked up their IDS. The fan was running and his tool failed to communicate. He said that he thought the fan had drained the battery. Didn't make sense to me, but I guess it's possible. I am losing faith in this specific dealer, but at the time everything happened they were the only option I had. Were it to have happened at home, I would have personally called you guys first.

Ok, now that I have my car back with a new PCM, is there anything special I need to do to use my Predator? When I plug it up, it says something about last tune failed to install, restore original tune? I can hit the ESC button and go back to the main menu. My question is this: can I use the tuner like normal, or do I need to send it in?
