New USB/Serial driver (Windows 7, Vista, XP)

Post by mikel »

This driver has shown to work on XP, Vista, and 7, and seems to solve issues with the 'this device cannot start, code10' error.

I have been building computers for over 12 years, and this had to be one of the most frustrating driver install problems I have ever encountered. It took me over 6 hours and countless Microsoft Windows 7 (64 Bit) Home Premium trouble shooting idea's, until I stumbled upon this article and driver link above. I tried these drivers http://www.cooldrives.com/lib/cooldrive ... apters.zip and they worked right away in recognizing and connecting my Predator U7191 so I could update it to V.9r02 Thank Goodness for this article!!!!!

Can't get any driver to load...tried them all. Device manager says: The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name.
Any ideas?? running a Dell w/Windows 7
