MPG booster & Throttle response
I got an email about a MPG booster tuning, and a throttle response tuning for the trinity, are we going to get an update for this because I'm really interested in trying out both.
RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
throttle booster change is only for dodge/chrysler vehicles... they had an issue... GM's don't need it...
MPG booster tunes are available in the latest predator revision update...

RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
does the mpg booster tune have less performance than a stock tune. is the throttle delay still elininated like in the diablotune

RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
the mpg booster tunes are more for mileage, not performance... they don't have as many of the performance tweaks done to them as the regular performance tunes do....

RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
where do you find all these tunes on your u7194. i'm fairly new to this and the only options i have even after updating to the new r24 is diablotune or 87 octane tune. what are the changes in new update?
-would we ever have cold air intake tunes for u7194??

RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
that's it.. those are the choices...
the Diablo Tune is made for 91 octane gas or higher...
and the 87 tune is for 87 octane gas...
there are no CAI specific tunes for GM's... they are not needed, because you can adjust the fueling yourself... the fords can't, so that's why those have specific tunes for certain cai's...

RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
i need to take my 2010 silverado 1500 to the shop i think my rear end is going out , has a lot of slack in it. and was going to rerturn every thing back to stock. but will i loose my gas saveing tune that i just installed on my pedator. are will every thing stay in there? i hope so it was a pain loading it to my predator
RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
I replied to your PM...
if it was a custom tune that somebody created for you, that you had to import into the tool, it will be gone and you will need to reimport it into the tool...
if it was a revision update to the tool that included the diablo mpg booster tune, then no, it won't be gone.. it will still be in there...

RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
Hi guys, I'm sorry, I still don't fully understand what the MPG Booster Tune is. I have a U7135 for my 2009 Charger SRT8 running 9r29. Is it simply so I can run 87 octane gas? I thought I could do that anyway with a stock car? I thought if I put 87 into a stock car that the PCM would adjust? Or does this new MPG Booster tune actually give me better mileage across the board? Does it also save fuel (ie - cut performance) when at WOT? IF it does... that doesnt' make sense. Can a tune be created that runs the mappings for MPG Booster while at 0%-90% throttle, and the 93Oct CAI mappings while at 90%-100% throttle?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
The MPG booster tune is designed with minuimal power gains, but will improve SOTP feel when driving, while allowing you to run 87 and get slightly better mileage.all_bran wrote:Hi guys, I'm sorry, I still don't fully understand what the MPG Booster Tune is. Re: RE: MPG booster & Throttle response
First, what is "SOTP feel"?mikel wrote:The MPG booster tune is designed with minuimal power gains, but will improve SOTP feel when driving, while allowing you to run 87 and get slightly better mileage.all_bran wrote:Hi guys, I'm sorry, I still don't fully understand what the MPG Booster Tune is. Thanks
Second, and this may be a dumb question: Is it still tuned for minimal power gains when at WOT? Is it even possible to tune for MPG when at partial throttle (< 90%) and tune for power gains at full throttle (> 90%)... all in the same tune file? Can the car be programmed to transition like that? Maybe with the following TPS profile?:
0%-50% = tune for 100% MPG
50%-60% = start gradually blending into power tune. 75% MPG/25% power
60%-70% = 50% MPG/50% Power
80%-90% = 25% MPG/75% Power
90%-100% = 100% Power
?
Is my head in the clouds just wishful thinking on this one?
If what I have said above is complete jibberish, what is the intent of the 87 octane tune? Long road trips? I doubt anybody will fill their car up with 87 octane all the time and run this tune all the time... that's not why they bought the car in the first place.
Thanks in advance!! PS - You guys rock!!
