2.xx version vs New 9.xx 7193 Predator

I just bought a 04 gto that came with a 7193 diablosport predator. It is running the 2.xx version and the previous owner informed me that if I planned on adding mods like headers or cai that I should not try to update it to the 9.xx version. My question is what are the functions that the EPA made diablosport remove? I know that I can't do logs with the 2.xx version but can I see what my fuel trims are in real time? Thanks in advance for any info.

yes, you can see your fuel trims...

the new version predator's do not have the ability to disable the rear O2 trouble codes, or any obd/emissions codes... you would need to get a custom tune done for it/your car in order to have the codes disabled in the custom tune...

but, the new ones have more functionality, better/updated/newer tunes, data logging, etc...
