I have been having trouble with the map sensor. I have purchased a SRT-4 2.25 sensor and when I load it with the MAP kPa offset at 4.8 and the slope atr 46.38, with key on and engine off, I get a reading of 10.53. It should be 14.01ish. What do I need to adjust to get the settings correct? I have tried to read different posts about this issue but, I am still not clear. Do I just use the 1 bar settings and adjust the slope until I have a reading of 14.01 or should I use the 2 bar settings above and adjust the slope to get the correct readout???
Thanks for your help!
Marty

RE: MAP sensor settings
As mentioned, it is likely a 3 bar sensor, so you should try scaling it for that.

I will give that a try and let you know!

RE: MAP sensor settings
Mike, The 3 bar setting put me at 14.14! Thanks! I want to confirm that the only thing that I need to change is under Scalers> Powertrain config>MAP kPa offset and MAP sensor slope. What is the Max MAP difference S-MAP<C-MAP. The stock setting was 40 and another "2 bar" sensor tune had it at 240. I have this tune set at 240 also. What is this for (and the one below, C-MAP<S-MAP)???
Thanks,
Marty
Thanks,
Marty
RE: MAP sensor settings
What i would suggest doing is applying the 2 bar settings as for as everything in the volumetric efficiency group, the S-MAP C-MAP is the maximum allowable difference between calculated map and sensed map.

RE: MAP sensor settings
Thanks Johan. I have normalized all the tables that have kPa on an axis to 205 kPa. The VE tables I left alone since in another post you said that you don't increase them or normalize them, the pcm just looks at the 1.0 top line anyway so adjust fueling at the top of the VE table to get the desired A/F you want. Correct??
