Further Adjust or Just Leave It Alone???

Post by fightinfarmer2010 »

Been running the 87 Octane Tune in my '09 Z71 with fuel levels dialed in (+2 on spark advancement) for a couple months now. Just for kicks today, I ran a log running at 75MPH on smooth interstate to get my RPMS in the 1800-2000 range in the dry, 103 degree TX heat to confirm that everything was dialed in where it should be...

Ran the log and it says I need to go to +3 on the spark...is this minor adjustment recommendation really necessary? Truck seems to be running like a champ as it sits now...thank you for any advice!

I have attached the data log file for anyone to examine

Also, just as a side-note, the previous log was ran under similar conditions (dry, +100 degrees, smooth interstate)

+3 on spark advance/timing??? no....

you need to adjust the injector slope, not the timing/spark advance...

Do as lew stated. Adjust the injector slope. Do a nice long log and see what the values are. Then adjust as stated in the logs...

Not much you can do from there. Other than send lew your logs and get a good tune done.
