Can't add fuel with MPG Booster Tune U7135

Post by abuelo »

I just installed my wideband & I've been trying to add fuel but is doesn't seem to work. The tool takes the change and flashes the car, but it doesn't seem to make any difference (my afr before & after is roughly 12.8-13) even adding 20% more fuel all along the range. Am I missing something?
Thanks,

AFR-fuel adjustments

Post by shocknawful »

I'm pretty sure the fuel trim adjustments are only for WOT conditions in the "modify tune" section.
Are those AFR reading taken @ WOT?

The AFR is basically the same before & after I added the fuel....here is the tune with the added fuel.

Today I tried that tune (with maxed fuel) and loaded it as a custom tune, reseted the parameters and maxed the fuel again. It did seem to have some effect, but not as it does with the 91octane tune.
One additional info is that I live at 8000 ft above sea level, so the max MAP I'll get is 76KPa (even with switch on - engine off) can it be some influence?

Attached is a file (in csv format 'cause I can't log afr with the predator so I'm using another software. This was after putting two time +20% fuel. It is slightly lean at high rpm. I tried a 3rd time the whole process but didn't help.

Yes, a PLXdevices wideband connected to PCMscan software. Vehicle OBD data is captured also by PCMscan by ELM327 interfase.

By the way; I'm pretty shure the wideband is measuring correctly because at partial throttle the AFR is mantained near 14.7 (14.5-14.9); with the 91 octane tune is 12-12.5 a tad rich but it is adjustable with the predator.
