I updated to r17 and my 1-2 shift turned into a dog. It now has a hesitation between shifts like it's hitting the rev limiter. Any advise?
Thanks

Just a heads-up, PappaD- put the year and model of your car to help them help you...

PappaD & rednug,
Are you guys running the raised shift points option?
Have you tried increasing the rev limiter?
It certainly sounds like you're bumping the rev limiter just before the 1-2 shift. You may want to try increasing the rev limiter by +200 to see if that helps.
Why this is occurring in r17 and not the earlier version is anyone's guess, but perhaps the rev limiter is not set as high in the canned tunes on r17 as it was in previous releases.

Since my last posting I have rolled backed to 16a and have not tried the 17 again. I guess I should had been clearer about my problem.
What had happened to me was, I was at a complete stop. I went to accelerate forward and practically nothing was happening. The car just revved and moved forward very slowly. I was able to pretty much coast into a parking lot. I brought the car to a complete stop, placed the car in P and went back into D. The car did the same thing again, just revved. I placed the car in R and it rolled backwards just fine and I went back into D. Same problem. I placed the car in P and turned it off. I started the car again, placed it in D and I was able to drive it home. I did notice that when this problem happened, my dashboard parking light was illuminated. I ensured the parking brake was not engaged.
I also made sure that when this problem was happening the car was in D1. The tranny would not hook-up.
