LTFT HELP

Post by JohnBogovics »

2009 GMC sierra 1500 (4.8L)

I am trying to adjust my LTFTs but my weather here at best is 8 to 13 Deg C. What should I tune my LTFTs to. I read several forms of people tuning between 0 to - 2 at temps of around 30 Degs C

I don't do C... I do F....

and at the normal warm/hot summertime weather/air temp for your area, in F, your average ltft's should be in the 0 to -2 range... anything cooler than that, and they should be a little more positive....

at 30* celcius (86* F), you want your average ltft's to be about 0 to +1.xxx

ok well what about 50* F? Sry for being a little picky, but I kinda wish I bought this tuner in the summer and I would not have this issue. My values are around +1.5 at these temps and I dont know if thats right or not. I tried calling diablo sport but being on hold for over an hour and not getting through really blows. I want to re-do this ltft and PE adjustments but I need to know at my temps right now what are the LTFT's?

my next question (thank you so much for the LTFT questions), i am getting some tksr at around the 3200 rpm mark of about 5. Ive read that you add some fuel(richen) to that rpm to see if its a fuel issue. also I do get some really small blips about 1-2 but I assume those could just be a crappy road or higher rpms. What would you do? My father was also curious as he considered buying one but he travels to the mountains also but the altitude changes quite drastically probably by 3000 Feet. Does the computer automatically corrects for this?

ohh also, once i get this tune right (modified 87 octane), i am looking at running the MPG tune for the winter. any idea where the ltfts should be at an average temp of -4* F
