Tune not supported
Tune not supported
I have a 2008 Avalanche and bought a used predator that was used on an 09. I can not use it because the message is tune is not supported. Is there something I need to do to make it functional?

I believe the revision is 9To9H but I did not see that on the download page.

a "T" revision means it was a test revision update, not a release update... 9"R" would be a release update...
sounds like the previous person had to have a special revision update done in order to support his particular vehicle....
have you tried updating it to the latest revision?? if not, do that...
in order to do that, you would have also had to buy the pc interface kit.... which is the usb/serial cable and power adapter so that you can connect the predator to your Windows PC...

Thanks he also sold me the cable but I dont believe my computer has the serial fitting

if the cable is a serial to serial plug, and you don't have a serial port on your PC, then you'll need to get a usb-to-serial cable...

Got it all straighten out user error, cable is the right one. Tune installed 87 mpg boost, could be
not exactly the right name for tune. So I tried a couple of 87 octane tanks. I accelerated onto the highway today with some engine knock. Should i expect this? The wind has been so high that I couldn't tell you if mileage improved or not.
This evening I filled up with 93 octane no ethanol to see if I get better mileage. Should I use a higher octane tune?
I also bought an app REV to check engine performance. What perammeters should I monitor? What little I have used the app the mpg calculated by it is way high. Typically the truck mpg calculator on the dash is off by 1 mpg but this app is 4 or more. I will have to contact REV for that.
