Unable to tune multiple vehicles since last update 1R08

Post by fedlover »

Since updating to 1R08 Trinity will not allow me to tune my wifes Aspen until I put the stock tune back in my Challenger SRT8. Problem is I can't put the stock tune back in nor do I want to. When I bought the Trinity 1000 I could jump back and forth to my different vehicles with the tuner and not have to reinstall the factory tune up in the previous vehicle. Can someone fill me in on what happened with this latest update? Is there a work around for this?

You were never able to tune more then one vehicle at a time. You only paid for one vehicle. Thats all you can do, is one at a time. If you want to do more then one, you need more then one tuner.

Not true, right out of the box I tuned my srt8 and walked over to my 2011 GMC truck and tuned it then went back and changed the tune up on my SRT8. Did that multiple times, never had an issue until I updated the software.

no way... doesn't work that way... you can never tune more than one vehicle at a time, without first restoring the original backup stock tune to vehicle #1 before you can tune vehicle #2... it does not have that functionality...

clear codes, or data log more than one vehicle.. yes... but actually install a tune to more than one vehicle at a time, no....

sorry, but you're mistaken...

Sorry I did it right out of the box on 2 different vehicles in May 2011. I did multiple tunes on the SRT8 and the GMC truck without reinstalling the factory tune. Maybe mine had a glitch but my 2 vehicles have non factory tunes in them from 1 Trinity T1000 right now. Now it works just the way you guys say it does but before this latest update I was able to tune multiple vehicles at one time. I know the difference between logging and tuning, I can send a log to Diablo from both vehicles to prove it has their tune up in both vehicles right now.

You have to return the vehicles to a stock tune before you update the crom. The Trinity won't let you update with an original backup on there. If you somehow managed to do what you claim you're going to have a problem restoring both of those vehicles back to stock.
The apostrophe does not mean "Look out, here comes an S"!

"I couldn't care less" means it is impossible to care less - "I could care less" just makes you look stupid.

Yeah...the tool only holds one backup (currently ;) ) so there is no way you could have tuned more than one vehicle at a time.

Thanks

I agree I have had mine for a couple of years and it will only do one at a time. And to get new downloads you have to install the orginal tune. We have all had that experience.
