Its because of the cable. The cable is what causes the interference, not the Trinity itself. Some guys have been able to just move the cable around and not have any interference at all. Thats whats happening here.

That's not true, it has nothing to do with the cable, it is the all in the Trinity.

Nah, its definitely the cable. With the new rear mount cable there are no issues.

The Intune is not a monitoring device. It shouldn't be plugged in all the time.

The trinity may be making electrical noise, but its traveling through the cable. Thats why moving the cable old around reduces the problem, and the new cable eliminates it. i have yet to hear of anybody with a problem using the new rear mount cable design.

What difference does it make if the InTune should be plugged in all the time or not?

So all this interference is magically traveling through the cable? At what point is it leaving the cable it is so happily traveling along, just the right time to cause problems? That's laughable. Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, when the changed the layout of the board to accommodate the new plug there were also design revisions made? They already had to create new PCBs. Have you opened the new cable to verify there is indeed something different and it isn't just the same cable with a different connector on one end? I already know the answer to that question...

What difference does it make? You gotta be shittin me! If its not plugged in its not getting power. No power, no interference.

The inside of the Trinity is the same. I have had it open and theres no shielding anyplace. Anything that was giving off interference before is still doing the same.

I give up. You're not bright enough to understand why you're wrong. Shielding isn't what I was referring to in the redesign genius.

Okay, I'm not bright enough. I just know what works. I don't care whats going on inside.

I had the same problem with the TPMS sensors loosing comms while using the Trinity in a 2008 Wrangler Rubicon. The Trinity was mounted on the far left of the windsheild with the suction cup mount.

The solution was to simply move the suction cup mount on the windshield about 1 foot to the right.

Also, routing of the OBD cable can be done very cleanly by tucking it behind the trim going up to the top of the dash along the drivers side door frame.

BTW- the cable was routed the same when the TPMS was losing comms, so it's not likely the cable. And it's the new version cable with the heavier molex style connector. RF can behave oddly, and those TPMS transmitters are very low power.

So even with the new design interference is still an issue? I guess that isn't surprising since Mike L said nothing was done in the new design that would fix the problem. That's quite disappointing.
