2000 camaro ss

Gf got me a trinity for my bday. I followed the dvd video with all the drivers and updates and stuff. Plugged the tuner into my car and started it up and checked out the monitoring gauges screen. Shut the engine off and turned the key on, selected performance tune, it saved my stock tune, installed the diablo tune, turned the key off then back on when prompted, the tuner said it was ok to drive, then the tuner rest and my car wouldn't start. Reinstalled factory tune, car still wont start. Searched all over for a solution, found disconnect the battery tried, didn't work other than that there is no information anywhere other than call tech. No biggie other than your hours of operation aren't helpful to my situation since it's saturday. This is my only car and i have to get it going so i can go to work tonight, I don't wanna lose my job because of this, I had a reliable car an hour ago.

Well thanks for the support when I needed it the most. Now I have to pay someone $100 to take me to work and come pick me up in the morning. How embarrassing to be 29 and have to ask people for rides to work. How embarrassing for your company when I tell them why my car is dead. I can't be the first person to say that the support system for diablosport is a major fail. If you don't want to keep the whole company open during the weekend, cool, but keep 1 tech guy available from home or where ever. I mean forward tech calls to their phone, have them check the forum once an hour from 10a-8p.

With any modification comes an element of risk for reliability. Since you returned it to the stock tune, I doubt it's the Diablo tune that is the issue. If you cannot be without your car at any point for any reason, it is probably wise to refrain from modifications in general. Especially if you are going to lose your job because of it.

i'm now one step closer to fixing my car because of your post tex. your a genus, but you already knew that because, your a genus. seriously how in anyway is what you said helpful? what that messing with my car was a risk? thanks for the heads up, never thought of that before, hell i didn't even know what a car was before i bought this one. hey genus that doubts it the tuner that caused the issue just because i returned it to the stock tune, please tell me why it was running seconds before i installed the performance tune, and stopped working immediately after that. i know your so smart but i'll tell you anyways that i really don't want you to answer that because it's just your opinion and it wont be helpful at all because, to me and anybody else that is actually mechanically inclined it's obvious your troubleshooting skills are below sub par.

please nobody else post up unless you can add something helpful. i would like to focus on fixing my car, and not wasting my time and looking like an a-hole knocking people off their pedestals that they put themselves on, and have no business being on in the first place.

Maybe try disconnecting the positive battery terminal from the battery for a couple of minutes and hook it back up. This should reset the ecm, it may have just locked on you for what ever reason.

I'd offer some general help with the English Language but I'm guessing that's not the type of help you're after.

What happens, will the car simply not start or does it not turn over? Do you have any trouble codes?
The apostrophe does not mean "Look out, here comes an S"!

"I couldn't care less" means it is impossible to care less - "I could care less" just makes you look stupid.

My apologies for giving you some information that IS relevant. The people that answer the questions in the online forum from Diablosport don't work from home most times, they work at the shop. The rest of the people on line here are users like yourself.

yeah, like CANUCK mentioned above... diablo does not work weekends, at the shop or online... hours of operation are 9am-6pm Mon-Fri...

I'm not sure what your issue is, will have to wait for mikel to chime in...

this customer called today.
tool was not up to date.

anyways as a service if this happens to anyone we will on our dime call tag the pcm for overnight delivery to us , fix than ship overnight back. which is what we are doing for this customer.

We are as stated only open monday- friday 9am-6pm and closed on major holidays. For example we are closed this Thursday and friday of this week for thanksgiving.

Any Time you attempt to write info to your PCM/ ECM etc you are taking a risk there is a lot of factors that come into play., these factors are present when the dealer flashes a PCM/ecm etc as well. just the risk is lowered as they have the ability to recover and fix if neccessary where as the normal person does not. A really big factor in PCM flashing Is battery life /volts If you have a weak battery you have the ability to damage any PCM/ecm. the older the car the easier it is for damage to happen, as now adays car builders demand better built computers so the need for hardware swaping is decreased.

Think about it, its a lot easier to reflash a computer than it is to swap it out then revin, etc etc.

Moral of the story is we make every attempt not to have this happen and if it does we provide a no Cost option to fix it, in the fastest possible method. However there is nothing we can do on the weekends.

moral of the story is dont mess with it if you cant afford it breaking. if your so bad off you cant afford a cab ride and dont have any friends willing to lend you a ride. or maybe a wife / GF with a vehicle maybe you need to analyze your priorities in life. maybe the money you spent would have been put into savings. or maybe join a book club or a church group or go to a pumkin patch. these are the places you meet nice girls.
