Nasty tune- I get a TCM malfunction

When i get up to about 75 or 80 holding it down when it is on my custom tune which is 160hp and 340lbs/ft of torque the tranny kicks out of overdrive. I thne have to stop and put the 120hp setting back into the truck. I know that the tcm is detecting to much torque but my question is would it work correctly if I was to put a bully dog shift kit in the truck? Im trying to get ready for a ford lightning and i need this custom tune to work badly in order to blow smoke in his face.
