I just bought a new 2011 2500HD with a 6 speed transmission 6.0L engine, will the trinity work for it. I do NOT have the "G" in the vin at the 8th place. It is not flex either

I had a predator in my 2006 avalanche that i just sold. I had it dynotuned and cutom program at a cmr. i got 2-3mpg worse. If i install the trinity in my 2011 HD will i get worse also. I cant afford worse, i'm only getting 12mpg now. 2011 will be stock

The G is a motor designation, the G motor in the 2011-up trucks use a new pcm yet supported by us.
There should be no loss in mpg in the tunes, but that is also dependent on your driving as we reduce and quicken the time the vehicle will go into open loop in the tunes, but we also supply you with a mpg specific tune that should give you better mpg than stock with the added benefit of a better performing truck.

i see for diesel models there are economy towing and extreme, what options are there for gas that would give me better gas mileage?

Any of the provided tunes will show 1-2 MPG gains depending on driving style.
The MPG booster tune can add 2-3 MPGs.

my trinity is being delivered today but after reading some more posts i have concerns. Is the battery drain problem fixed? i only drive my truck 1-2 times a week and dont want to have to jump it every time. Also i had read a comment about the MPG boost and it related to the active management system. My truck doesnt cut 4 cyclinders out when driving is that the active management system? dealer tells me that none of the 2500 or larger have that system. if thats true then the MPG booster will not work??

Havent seen any battery drain issues on NBS trucks.

MPG booster will still work, just not as effectively as it would on a truck with DoD.

I am so mad at my dealer right now. MY dealer goes to the effort of putting the vin number and chevy towing number on the back of her business card so i can keep it in my wallet. I went by that vin with no G at #8 so i ordered a trinity. tried to install it and wouldnt go. looked at the vin on the trinity and it matched the one on the door with a G. now i have no options for a tuner and have to send this back. Come-on Diablo there must be something you can do to make it work, will the new tuner coming out (replacing the predator) be able to work???

We just got our hands on the new E78 PCM that we needed to get these added. It will likely be 2-3 weeks though, as the engineer who works on the GM CAN stuff is on vacation getting married right now...
