Jeep 3.7/4.7 support...

Hello, new to the forum.

Is there any plans to eventually add JEEP 3.7/4.7 tuning support to the Dodge/Jeep tuning suite? I understand that the Dodge 4.7 is supported from 05 to 2010, however I have several customers (2007+ 3.7 owners especially) asking me about custom tuning, and unfortunately I cannot do anything for them. I have had no less than 5 people approach me about it...If its not already in the works, maybe it should be?

Adding insult to injury, the Intune official support list shows Jeep 3.5 support under the Grand Cherokee. Problem is, the GCs never came with the 3.5. Ever. The 3.5 and 3.7 are essentially the same engine, simply different applications. Furthermore I would expect there to be at least SOME commonality between the Jeep and Dodge 4.7s as well as the 3.7.

I know everyone at DSP is busy with 2011 tuning and keeping up with the other brands. But if it is doable, this would be great! Thank you Mike Vas Johan and others for doing what you do...

We are looking into this engine size.
I personally have a 06 3.7 durrango, I would love to get some tuning for as the torque management is the worst from Good old dodge. so i am pushing the subject as well. But we will see the result. (haha not like i have any pull or anything lol)

I am definitely interested in tuning support for the 3.7L engines. There are a ton of us out there and I know most of us would jump at the chance to wring a little more power out of these engines.

They should look into and support those. They'll have to support something to stay in business since they can't suport 2011 and 2012 models. LOL!

They just released CTS-V support for 4 model years and 2012 GM and Ford support. More sales there in a month then the Mopar V6s will sell in a year. And the inTune was just released which will jack up sales. Somehow I doubt they need 3.7 and 4.7 support to stay in business.

Look at what they told the Avenger guys. They need 10's of thousands of sales to make it worth while. Do you guys have 10's of thousands of people who will drop the $400 for and inTune or $600 for a Trinity to make it worth supporting? I don't think it's likely. People who were interested in performance probably got the Hemi on the vehicles it was offered on.

And you think there have been 10s of thousands of customers with the hemi's who have received support from diablo, when other major competitors other support for the same engine?

Doubtful. I believe there is just as much as a want/need from the guys with the 3.7 and 4.7 as the hemi's. Most use the smaller engines to go off road and for daily driving where the extra powerful is NEEDED And for better mpg. Some companies have already jumped on the banwagon knowing that these engines will be found more commonly now, and there are several other mods available for these engines. Diablo could in a sense corner the market by offering tuning capabilities for these engines in every year/make/model.

And some have said its not like writing a new code for these engine since they are similar to the one already supported by diablo. They would need a little tweaking

Well I'm not here to advertise for their competitors but that above statement is false. Others do offer custom tuning.

Regardless, I'm sure there is just as much of a market for these in the Smaller engines as the hemi's. I know of thousands spending thousands on mods in lifts and trying to squeeze every last HP out of their smaller engines. Someone I know someone that had a beast 4.7 that could easily pull on a hemi.

you wont offend me by naming names...only thing I have seen is SCT, and support is limited, there is no datalogging available (how do you custom tune without logging????), and they dont currently support their Dodge software last i heard.
