I replaced a radiator, plugs and fuel filter all because they needed to be.
I have a miss or dropped cylinder (cutting out) under modertate to heavy acceleration. Checked all my vacuum lines, cleaned the MAF (twice) and based on what I am hearing on the baords it could be a coil pack or a fuel pump.
I need to run the diagnostics and data logging and haven't done that before. Since 8 parameters are about it I need to know what parameter will give the fuel presure so I can see if it's the pump and then I will run a second run to see if it's one of the 8 coil packs. Help on which parameters is what I need.
It could be vacuum too so if there is anything there I need to look at I'd appreciate the help.
My Diablo Preditor is a U7158 rev 1.
I have all the software loaded and I have version 8r10 on the unit.
Thanks in advance...
Rick

There is no way to log Fuel Pressure on a Lightning with any scan tool unless you hook a guage up to the fuel rail. That will be the only way for you to check that. You can only log pressure on returnless vehicles which the Lightning is not. As for the coils, just check for codes and if none are found you can inspect them and check for resistance. If you have codes for cyl misfire that will be a clue to which one it may be.Rickgig wrote:I replaced a radiator, plugs and fuel filter all because they needed to be.

Thanks... I think my problem is vacuum related more than anything else. The cool thing it has given me the chance to play with the predator and thoughts and possibilities are running through my head.

Did you ever get this resolved?? If not ... I had exactly the same problem with my 01 ... and it was one of the coil packs ... and my check engine light did not come on.
Don't reset your computer ... you will need to use a scanner with advanced codes activated ... I am not sure if the Predator will do this or not. You want to run the scan for cumulative misfire by cylinder number. A good scan tool will tell you exactly which cylinder, and how many times the misfire has occured since the last time the computer was reset.
