Hi I just had to replace 6 fuel injectors on my 05 cummins. This is after having the puck installed for about 20,000 kms. So what I'm wondering is does increasing the rail pressure cause pre-mature failure of the injectors or would it have been a pre-exsisting problem. Also does anybody know the fuel rail pressures stock/60/90? Thanks

Dodge is going through a moron phase right now, those injectors were designed by bosh with a 2micron filther, but the dodge filther is 7micron. So any debis that makes it through the fuel filther errodes the insides of your injectors at 20,000psi. However the extra 2,000 - 2,500psi isnt relly that great for them. My rail press runs around 19,000 - 20,000 @ 65 without the puck. Also the Ultru low sulfer fuel in the prosses of removing the sulfer (wich is somewhat of a high pressure lube), also removes alot of other lubracants, ive read alot of guys are adding 2stroke to thier fuel at 100:1 Ive been running it myself for about a month now, due to aloss of 6 injectors, and so far so good.

We have seen/heard of many injector failures on these trucks, tuned or not.

You can add me to the list of injector failures. I just had the dealer replace my cylinder-1 injector. Thankfully it was covered under warranty. I am wondering if the failure may have been related to the DiabloSport components as the failure occurred shortly after installing the Power Puck and the Predator. Or could the failure be an issue un-related to the DiabloSport equipment. What I would like to know is if it is safe for me to re-install the Predator Performance/Economy tune or will I be setting myself up for another injector failure? (My truck has 98,000+ miles on it, warranty runs out at 100,000.)
