Need advise on predator tuner

I have a U7180 Predator tuner Bios V-6.01, 1.11 for my 02 lb7. I was checking out the Diablo site and noticed they have put out a lot of updates for my tuner. They want $99.00 to upgrade the hardware on my tuner to be able to connect to the computer and have the latest version. My question is...how many of you have the updated version and what am I going to gain from spending the $$ on it beside being able to use my computer to connect to my truck through the tuner and being able to update it on my own without sending it in? What are the other benefits? Are there some free tunes to put on it? Would like to know as much info as possible before spending anything more on it.

there are newer, updated tunes that come on it... newer tune file formats better for custom tuning when you decide to get one... you'll be able to record data logs (necessary when getting a custom tune done)... etc etc...

Thanks for the reply, Is there anymore you can tell me about it. NO offense but I am not a programmer or that tech savvy. If I could I would like to know what improvements the newer tunes do to my truck, and how many tunes come on the updated versions. Whatever etc....... I would like to know what all that stuff is. I appreciate the help but I still need to be sold on spending the $. I don't expect that with the updates my truck is going to sprout wings and fly, on the the hand I don't want to spend $ on something that isn't going to do that much for me. I just want to say if I purchase the update, Oh ya.....that was worth the $ and not well that's 99 bucks of useless nothing I could have spent in diesel!

the hardware upgrade still uses basically the same tunes as you have now, but it improves the overall stability of the tool itself, na improves some of the older Predators shortcomings. It also adds the ability to datalog with the tool, and makes it internet updateable.
