Trinity T1000: 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV

Post by vondidit »

I just received my trinity for my caddy. I installed the preset performance tune, runs great!! However I have a volant ram air CAI to install along with headers and catback and Jet MAF. I didn't see additional tunes for these types of parts. What do I need to do to tune for these add-ons?

do NOT install that jet MAF crap!!! absolutely not! it's garbage and will screw up your fueling and tune!! no no no no.... aftermarket MAF's are no good and not needed.. they fool the ecm into thinking the engine is running leaner than it really is, and the fueling changes because of it.. and then when you try to tune it, it will never be correct because you're not getting correct/true air flow readings from the aftermarket MAF sensor... sell it or return it!

you want to keep the stock GM MAF sensor (with screen in it if it has one)! the stock MAF sensors are good for 550/600+ hp anyway, so there's no need for you to change it....

do NOT use the Jet MAF sensor!

as for the headers, CAI, and cat-back exhaust, you'll need to get a custom tune done for those mods in order to get things dialed in correctly and gain even more power/performance, and have the necessary trouble codes and related items disabled in the tune file. keeping the cats on the truck??

and for a custom tune, check out http://www.diablewtune.com

First thing you gotta do it get rid of that MAF. Aftermarket MAFs mess with the tunes and do you no good.
