2006 boost surge and high idle issues

Post by stacked06 »

i have a 2006 f250 with six speed stick. had my pcm updated the other day. i updated tool. installed extreme tune. truck now will flair up between shifts about 300 rpm also idles at 950 instead of 650. it will come down to 650 if i load the truck up as if i were going to power brake. also the turbo now boosts to over 30 lbs. it goes up to 20lbs then will spike to 30+ lbs. the last time my truck boosted over 30 lbs my oil pump gear blew apart. truck was performing great before pcm flash and tool update. also i had an exhaust brake program for the 9r10 update. i would like to get the exhaust brake program for the 9r14. but one issue at a time.

Ok there is a High Idle I added for Cold Conditions to help warm the engine up to operation temp sooner under Very Cold conditions. But as the Engine warms up the idle should reduce rpm to normal operations. The flaring between shift may happen if the truck is still cold operation But I havent had this concern before on the new Crom. You should not be seeing that much boost. Is the truck Completly stock no other Engine mods at all? example.... Tuners, boost foolers, intakes, inline modules, rail pressure modules anything?

Ok Look for an email Im going to build you a file to test and see if we can get rid of the problem. You did have the trucks CALID updated from the dealer thats why you had to update the tool to latest revision correct?
