Trinity wont work 2005 silverado!!

Just got my Trinity today. Serial number 6JYPZ21.
Installed and updated it. Then went and put it in my truck.
2005 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L V8.
Entered the vehicle then went to the performance menu. Selected 87 octane tune just to start. It said it would copy factory settings then froze. Unplugged it and tried again.

It actually tried the second time but then my whole dash went crazy. ABS light came on, Service 4WD message came on, everything. It would not copy my factory tune.

Then after a couple more tries it said that the calibrations were not supported. Then it said the calibration id's could not be found. Then back to the first incident and so on and so on. I had to try numerous times just to get the calibration numbers to come up.

Here's the calibration numbers, please help!!!

Oh and also it never did copy the factory tune at all. Hopefully theres some easy solution. Thanks!

did you update your trinity with the trinity_gm_j1850-1r08d_update.crom 1391k update file?? that's the update that would have support for your truck...

I just re-updated my trinity with that update and tried again. Still no luck. It just continually makes my dash freak out and then says failed to save backup. The more info button says "unexpected bus communication" or something like that.

Is it something I did with the drivers? I know the help video shows having to manually select the drivers but my computer and windows 7 just automatically located and installed drivers.

Any other ideas?

Your current calibrations are outdated... you will have to return to a GM dealer for your computer updates.

also, if you have anything aftermarket installed on the truck, you need to disable it / pull the fuses for it..

i.e. if you have an aftermarket stereo, sub, amps, remote start, alarm, trailer brake/hitch/light wiring harness, nav unit, satellite radio, etc etc.. anything aftermarket needs to be disabled...

make sure you don't have anything turned on in the vehicle, everything turned off (radio, lights, etc)...

make sure you have your key turned to the "ON" position and engine not running...

Thank you for the reply yesterday. Not many people would do that on a saturday.

Disconnected my stereo amp and remote start this morning and it worked first try!
Very happy now. Thanks again for the assistance.
