Trouble getting PC to recognize Predator

I'm having issues with my Predator I got today for my 06 GTO. I installed all the drivers and such on my computer and the software from this site. I can't get my laptop to recognize the Pred. It's the SLP Pred so I just want to be able to use it to log data and then view it on my laptop and do some logging with the computer.

In DS downloader, it keeps searching on auto search and I need to set it to COM18 at 11520 (or whatever). Then I can get it to upload a log by going to "express tune" and then hitting "upload log" from the Pred troubleshooting menu. From there I can't find it anywhere, so I searched for it and found it, but it won't open.

Then I tried to hook it up to Data Viewer 3.1 and it won't connecto to the tuner. It says "searching COM 1-12" and my Pred is hooked into COM18 so it never finds it. Tried to hook it up for live data logging on my car and the same thing happened...nothing.

I want to get my log onto the computer and see what happened!! Help me guys.

Got it figured out. I just had to set the COM port to a lower number.
