Is this even possible? I am so stoked!
I spent 2 hours with my Predator U7146 last night and My GTECH meter. I have a 2001 Mustang GT with a 5 speed. I am running 245/70/17 Street tires, not DOT legal drag tires but true street radials. Mods to tha Car are:
K&N CAI
Granatelli COP Coil Paks
3.73 Gears
Stock tune as car came:
14.56 sec
99.2 mph
14.43 sec
99.6 mph
"Factory HP Tune" from the Predator modified with "10" on the Timing advance (the is the Maximum) and going to "4" Lean on the WOT Fuel in both 2k-4k range and 4k-7k range:
13.83 sec
107.1 mph
13.73 sec
107.8 mph
The modfied Factory HP Tune was faster than the Diablo Tune that came with the Predator.
These tests were all done last night. I literally did a run stopped the car, tuned and did another run. Nothing changed. I didn't even stop for gas since I started with a full tank of gas and ended with more than Half a tank. The temp was 34 deg and the humidity low. The surface still has a little sand on it and salt from some snow we had last week, so it was hard to hook up and I am running stock street tires. I have been driving a long time and used to race semi pro, so my launches were consistent, just had to side step the clutch a lot or she would just spin, especially when I put the last tune in. But MPH don't lie. With that MPH and DOT slicks I can be lo 13's
My Question is HOW CAN THAT BE? The car only had very basic mods to it? I bought the car used from a dealer who bought it at auction. It had the CAI installed, but that was it. I did the gears and the COP's. So how can it be that fast? Also is that possible that it responded so well to the "Factory HP Tune" after I modified the tune? I am so happy with the performance it is unreal!! Buying the Predator with the best money I ever spent!!
Crazy power gains! Is it possible? U7146 w/ 2001 Mustang GT
