Do you think the Trinity should be compatible for the Ford Ranger?

When can I tune my FORD RANGER ?

Post by TorqueAutosports »

I have a 2002 Ford Ranger EDGE.

The Ford Ranger is, needless to say, one of America's Best Selling Trucks.
It's reliable, cheap, powerfull with a V6...Yet it is ignored in the world of aftermarket tuners! WHY?

When will the Trinity be ready for ME?

...on a side note
-I also own a 2005 Mustang V6...can I tune both cars with this one tuner (when they are both compatible)???...or will I need to buy two tuners; one for each car?

Thanks

nope, won't have anything for a ford ranger...

and no, can't tune both vehicles at the same time with only one predator... you would need to buy 2 separate predators - one for each vehicle...

but it won't matter anyway, since it won't be a problem/issue for you since the ford ranger won't be supported anyway...

Glad Lew said it first so I don't get reamed. :)

Why would anybody support a vehicle with such a pathetic motor? The 4.0 is garbage. It should have went in the trash with the old 2.3. Yes, they support the V6 Mustang, but only after Ford did a motor upgrade. Won't find anything for the POS 94-98s.

What?!

Post by TorqueAutosports »

First of all...I was asking about the new TRINITY.

Second of all...what?! How could you say that the Ford Ranger is so Crap with it's 3.0! It produces quite a bit of power with low gas mileage. It can tow broken car's back to where I need them. It's perfect for a work truck, which is what it does for me. I use 93 octane gas on the Ranger and want to get the most out of it. I use the high octane gas anyways to allow my engine to extend it's life. If I already am using the gas, why not get more power and economy out of it?

Also, you need a tuner for more than just instant increased horsepower. I have used a tuner on my Mustang several times other than the first...for instance, when I changed my Rear End gears, when I installed nitrous, and for the initial tune...

On my truck I will need it for those plus some larger rear tire's that will go on it soon.

Saying the need for a tuner because you're car isn't good enough for it just shows your lack of knowledge on Vehicles.

ALSO READ THE POST..SOME OF YOU CLEARLY DID NOT...IT'S A 2002 RANGER, WHICH I WOULD LIKE SUPPORT FOR THE NEW TRINITY TUNER! DON'T REPLY IF YOU DON'T READ!

TORQUE, we have never offered a flash programmer for the 02 Ranger, and I cant say that it is very high on the list of vehicles to add support for, as we have not seen a big market there.

Our U7157 Predator for the newer Rangers was not quite the hit we hoped it would be, and that does not help push us toward doing a bunch of R&D to add support for something that will not sell well, it is a simple business decision.

As for your 05 Mustang, well thats our bread and butter, and we can help you out there no problem.

Hey Mikel,

Honestly, if you had included a towing program, I would have bought one already!
Pretty much the only thing that is holding me back. I mean it is a TRUCK after all.
I can get a custom tune for it but it's another $75.

Most of the parts people I have talked to recommend the Predator, so I'll more then likely get one anyway.
Just my 2c.

Specific tow tunes are a marketing scheme, it means you got half of a tune ;)

Our tunes are designed for use while towing or anything you do with your truck.
