Dash beeping and idiot light on

I have a 2008' Dodge 2500 with a HEMI. I've had the Predator Tuner on it for about 8 months. Never had any issues with anything but the TPMS deal. I think it's a computer not reading the sensors? That's not my issue today. For about two weeks now the idiot light would come on and off a couple of times and then about a minute later it would beep at me for a minute or so. At first it was no big deal because it happened every couple of days. Now it happens about every 20 minutes. I went back and reinstalled the factory tune and it stopped. Drove me crazy when I hooked up to my 9,600# trailer the next day and felt like a giant boat anchor. So I went back to the 91 tune. Same crap started again.....

Any suggestions?

thats a new one, what is the revision on the Predator?

to be honest, the tune cant change, so if it started out of the blue, it is not likely related to the tuner.

Now the blinkers quit working? Just reset back to original tune again and they work fine? Sooooo, your saying my computer is going out? That would seriously anger me. How do I even begin to figure that out? And why would it only happen when I have a tune installed? I'm about to drive this truck with the trailer from Alaska to Ohio. Timing could be better.

Mike just for some feedback, im experiancing a similar issue on the beeping. I loaded a new custom tune a couple of week's ago and all of the sudden when the automatic door lock's go to lock there is an audible beep. It's never done this before. It's not consistant and dosen't do it every time. Also i remember when going to load the tune the chimming you hear when turning on the key had a weird sound to it. I decieded to relaoded the tune and the chime's were normal again. Did'nt experiance the beeping till i drove the truck. The beeping is not a big deal, but there is something going on. The is not the first tune i have loaded on 9r12 so i don't know if it's just a fluke or something that is happening after running it awhile. I'm going to reload the tune again soon and see if the beeping goes away.

sounds like there could be something in that tune that is changed that could be causing the issues...

No suggestions? I've got a lot of time and money into this truck, and right now I'm ready to burn it to the ground. Any info would help. If your saying it's not possible, then I get a new computer and it does it again.... You can understand my concern. I can't trust it to drive across country right now either.

when you say idiot light, what are you referring to exactly?

There is a single red globe light on the dash, located just below the bottom right of the speedo. The TPMS light also blinks and is normally on all the time. There is nothing in any of the codes or anything. Not at this point. I just drove from my house to my shop and everything worked as normal until I reacehed 8 miles, then I went back to beeping/no blinking/no hazards/red light....

I have never seen or heard of this.
Are you running the canned tune from the Predator or a custom tune?

Not sure man, doesn;t make sense that this just started out of the blue 2 weeks ago, points to an issue in the harness or electronics maybe.

Then why does the unit not show any codes? I took out my dash today to check the conections and put it back together, still the same....

the unit does not show codes, they come from the truck, i cant tell you why it is not throwing codes...

This may not make a differance but worth a try, go back to stock then load the tune or a differant tune and NOT make any tire size adjustment's when loading it. Good Luck!!!
