2005 ssr speedo problem

Post by brianc »

Im only guessing here but I assume you have not had time to look at this problem. I am somewhat disappointed with your lack of ttention to what I consider a problem for me as my speedo is 20 mph off since my tire and gear change, which I did after you assured me you could supply a tune to correct the speedo. Do you ever plan to address this problem? The car is put up for the winter but it would be nice to have a fix when it comes out again in April. I understand this is not all your problem, but I guess when you told me there was no issue I believed you and made the changes. I have not upgraded to the latest revisions as the car runs good as is other then the speedo issue. Given some of the problems I has seen on this site, Im not in a hurry to fix the current code I have only to get a problem i currently dont have. Not trying to be a jerk, but I would really like a fix before I spend more money to try to fix this problem through other means. Thanks again for your ear.

Brian, I wish we could fix it for you right now. If it was a 6 speed, it would work, but the A4s have thrown a wrench in the mix.
We are currently in the process of adding full TCM support for all GM vehicles, and all tools will be updated with this upgrade as soon as it is available.
We hope to have this all done sometime in January.

Thanks
Mike

Thanks Mike, I hope we have a fix by spring. Another question for you. When I was trying to get the tune for my speedo problem I asked if you could turn off my torque management and was told yes. I had so many problems with the speedo I totally forgot about the TM question. Can I get a tune in the spring to reduce or turn off my torque management software? read a bunch about how it really make the car more consistantfrom stop to wot where the car currently lays down until its moving about 15mph or so. Thanks again, Brian
