08 f350 tuner dosent like manual transmission

hello,
I have a 08 f35o and just got my tuner today. I plug it in and got to section where you choise transmisions. my truck is a stick and i select manual ,but it wont go any farther. It brings up a unit code . this is my first tuner what should i do thanks. U7164

sounds like it may need to be updated, what is the revision onthe top line of the main menu?

Send it back for a refund. You will continue to be disappointed and your vehicle could be at risk. My experiences with the U7164 and negative surprises was very disappointing.
