Another U7194 question for MIKEL

If I have a 2006 C6 Corvette tuned with a U7194 Predator, can I read that tune with a new virgin unlocked U7194, save it as a custom tune, and then marry the U7194 to a different 2006 C6 Corvette and load the custom tune to that vehicle? Are tunes VIN locked if created by the Predator?

No....
Tunes are based on the vehicles VIN, and cannot be swapped around.
My question is, WHY?
If you have two different cars (even if they are equipped the same), I can tell you that they do not want the exact same tunes, no two cars ever do once they are modded.

Customer had an 06 Z06 stock except for a CAI. Was tuned with a Predator adjusting fuel trims, timing, fans, COT, etc. from logs and wideband. Car was totaled in accident, not his fault. Predator was stolen from his car at the impound yard. He bought a replacement 06 Z06. I sold him a new Predator and we loaded the tune from his old car as a Custom tune in the new Predator. It would be a good starting point tune for his identical replacement car.
To bad.
Can you read the adjustments made in the custom tune stored in the Predator?

you can't see the adjustments via the Predator, because once you load the custom tune into the predator, all of the adjustment sliders are reset to 0... i.e. if the original tune had the slope set to -5% and you then import that tune into a predator as a custom tune, the slope adjustment slider will not show you -5%, it will be at 0... because no adjustment has been made to the "custom tune" file.

however, if you sent the custom tune file to a CMR dealer/tuner - they could load it up in the CMR software and compare it to the canned/pre-loaded diablo tunes and see what was changed.

If you email me the custom tune from the old car, and the backup from the new car, I can have a new tune made with all the changes applied to the new cars backup tune.
