trying to update DSP to newest version

Post by setljohn »

U-7134, 2003 Dodge Srt-4

I am trying to update my DSP with the latest version to successfully do a custom tune. I followed all the instructions to do this and when I was about 3/4 the way done with updating it, it said the transmission had failed. The only thing the DSP does now is boot up and give the "application missing or corrupt" message. I attempted to do what you all say to do when this happens, but I am still having no luck. Please help me!

I've tried redownloading it and legacy connect and the method that the instructions say to fix it several times, still nothing.

How is it bad if I can get almost all the way done with the transfer before it says anything? In part of the trouble shooting it says to open up the device and change the bits per sec to 115200 and hit ok. I did that and it won't stay at 115200, it keeps jumping back down to 9600 when i exit out of it.

I am having the same issue with my U7137. It stops half way through and says download failed, transmission failed. I've tried everything listed in the help menu as well as what's listed here. Nothing's working. Now my tool is stuck saying missing app file corrupted.

Mikel,

Does the pc interface kit you all sell necessary to do the update? I emailed you all when I got the diablo and I was told I would just have to purchase the cable separately. So I did the normal thing and went straight to ebay and spent $4. So far I have been able to transfer tunes back and forth, but I'm starting to think that maybe my cheaper cord doesn't pack enough punch to do the update.

You said a few messages ago I either have a bad download or a bad cable. So somehow my cable went bad during the update? But yet the computer still recognizes it and let's me continue to do most of the update before it fails.

It could be losing the connection in the middle of the transfer. I've had that happen with the cheap Chinese cables.

I just don't want to spend $50 plus shipping to buy you all's pc interface kit and that not even be the problem, because according to your policies returns must be unopened.
