I have a 2008 Bullitt mustang, which is just a gt with ford racing cold air intake and some suspension work. I have Long tube headers, high flow cats and an x pipe. I installed the 91 octane tune and noticed from 1k-2k rpm i had almost no torque. in other words it took a while to actually get the car moving. I never had that problem with the stock tune. i called tech support and was told it was because of the headers, but yesterday i noticed the problem all the way up to 2500 rpms, and today its all the way up to 3500 rpms. Yes i have the latest update on the U7145. Can you guys send me a revised tune or something? its very frustrating to drive around town with no low end power. What could cause this problem and what can be done.
i attached the stock tune as well as the 91

You really need a custom tune for the longtubes my friend, you have moved the O2 sensors, and thus there are many changes that need to be made to make it right...

RE: 2008 Mustang Bullitt - problems with 91 oct tune
I would not mind getting a custom tune. In fact i called five different places within 300-350 miles from where i live and only one could help me. The others have either sold their CMR licenses to someone else, won't answer the phones, or I just get the "phone is no longer connected" recording. The one guy that said he could help is in tucson but its about 500 dollars for that. Is there a reason that the car seems to be losing power progressively through the rpm range?

www.diablocustomtuning.com
click on the ford link
it is losing power as a result of the timing being off now due to the improved exhaust flow, and scavenging effects, as well as the fact that the O2s are not seeing things in time...

RE: 2008 Mustang Bullitt - problems with 91 oct tune
Thank you very much for the help. I was almost starting to consider the "other" guys for a hand held tuner since they have free custom tunes for life, although i bet its only to a certain point. Its just a bit frustrating at times. Have you guys consider trying to a Good CMR dealer that does custom tuning in New Mexico/West Texas?

I have a guy in the Houston area that can tune anything.
I believe there is also strictly performance out there too, no?
Whats your ZIP code?

The zip code here is 88005. Theres a lot of places that wont tune via email, they want to physically have your car for a few days to tune. The closest place is tucson and thats about a 3 hour drive. I wouldn't mind the drive but the price tag i do.
