Trying to download stock tune with dsdownloader 2.2.2.6 wont work. Times out? Any ideas?
I looked for a older version of ds1740 but could not find it.
I know there has to be away. I also updated drivers did not make a difference. What settings should I try or do I need to get a copy of ds1740?

7r50d does not auto connect, set DSDL in legacy connect, and then export the backup
also have to configure the tool, options/custom tune/export tune, select backup.

Also, i assume you meant 1998 Cobra??

better option would be to update to the latest, then you can export backup from main menu using auto connect...

Yes you are correct 1998 Cobra I fixed it. No, I know it does not auto connect. I did do the legacy connect and change the baud rate as well. And I did go into the tool to export the stock tune. I tried for over an hour and could not get it to work. I would update it for him but the customer does not want it updated in that losing the functions on turning off o2 sensors and erg.

Not sure what else could be up, sometimes these older tools give me a hassle, but a quick change of operations is usually the fix...

using com3 and tried com2 no luck. Yea it is fighting me. I'll give it a try again in a little while. Do you have a copy of the old dsloader you could email me?

not sure I have an old dsdl, but I just did this with a 7r50d tool and 2.2.2.6 here last week, worked fine...

ok thanks i'll reload software and try it again. I am using winxp not if it matters on sp3.
