2007 Charger SRT8 - "failed to read pcm original backup
RE: 2007 Charger SRT8 - "failed to read pcm original ba
Still the same issue. I ran the car for about 10 - 15 minutes (went for a quick drive), turned off the car, plugged in the tuner, turned the key to ON position, selected the tune...and got the same error. I tried it a few times and still got the same error.

RE: 2007 Charger SRT8 - "failed to read pcm original ba
VIN: 2B3LA73WX7H691659
CalID: 05030377AG
When I got the inTune, I plugged it into my computer first...it did some updates. Then I plugged it into my car and got the "PCM Calibration for (vin) is not supported. Check for calibration update". So I plugged it back into my computer, it did some more updates. Plugged it to my car, same error as before. Plugged it back into my computer...it did some more updates. This time, when I plugged it into the car, it asked me to install the calibration update, which I did and it completed with no issues. After this update was done, I was able to get past the Write Vehicle menu and see the different Diablo Tunes. But when I selected 91 Octane tune, I got the "unable to read pcm original backup" error.
Sorry for the long step by step, but it was a bit of a back and forth before it actually detected my car. Not sure if that may be the cause of my problem or not.

Have yet been unable to reproduce it, if you'd like, give us a call with the tool in the vehicle and we'll force it to do a new cal update and try it again.
Thanks

Sure. I get home from work around 6pm, so I will try and give you guys a call around then. By any chance though, is there a way we can do it over email or through the forum? Maybe email me the steps on how to force the new cal update and I can try it when I get home and let you know if it worked? Just to avoid long distance fees for me, if possible.

plug it in, go to settings/advanced/force cal update, then post or email the key it gives you.
We'll email a password with instruction on how to proceed

The key I got was:
EBAFA2
F82282
6EE9AC
C5D477
B471D4
But do I have to leave the key in the ON position? Cause I put it back to ACC since I didn't want the battery to drain and I didnt know how long it would take for you to reply.
And I callied you guys at 5:50pm and I've been on hold for the past 25min.

I guess you guys must have gotten busy or something. I stayed on hold until about 6:40pm (when I called at 5:50pm) and no one answered. Your hours of operation are until 6:30pm Mon - Thurs correct?
I also left the inTune plugged into my car at the "force cal update key" page for nearly 2 hours waiting to hear back from you with the password for the key i posted above but I didnt get any reply. I had to unplug it now cause I need my car. If you still provide me with the password, will it work? Cause I noticed that a new key was generated when I plugged it back in a second time.
I will try again tomorrow around the same time (hopefully earlier if possible) when I get home from work. If you could please tell me when is the latest time I can call TS or post my key here expecting to get a response....that would be great.
Many thanks for all your help and hope to get in touch with you tomorrow to fix the issue hopefully.

I had a similar issue with my 07 charger r/t. Got the "No ECU's found" message. Tried updating it a second time but then all went to hell. Just got my second one from Maryland Speed and everything went well. The first time I tried to write a tune it failed but I tried again and it worked. Seemed weird because at first I tried some quick adjusts and they worked. I waited until I knew absolutely everything that could drain the battery was off, like the dome lights that stay on for a while.

it will be a new key.
Sorry, maybe the forum was a bad idea for this procedure.
i wish I could say today will be better, but one of my guys had a death in the family and we are short handed, but please try to call before 6 so we can get you taken care of asap.
Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that. My condolences to your coworker and his family.
I tried calling again today around 5:40pm and was on hold for nearly 30min before I hung up as no one answered and it is long distance for me.
I have also been talking to Jon via TS email as well and he suggested to do a registry reset (settings –advanced registry reset) as well as disconnect the negative terminal of my car battery while I'm resetting. I've emailed him the code about 45min ago and have not heard back. I've also PM'd him the code too. Not sure if its faster to do it through the forum post...but I thought I might as well try. The key I got was....
EDE31D
1A514D
6F903C
78CA6A
86AB4A
I have left the intune connected to my computer at the screen waiting for either of you to give me the password to reset it. Hopefully this helps speed up the process.
Thanks.
