truck bogs out? at cruise...(torque converter)?

Hey guys, Mike i may have stumbled over a post where you might have ansered this. But everyone feel free to chime in here

so i have a 01 1500 5.3l t w/4l60e i have shift firmness moved up about 3 %...dont know how much to add just been playing with it.

but problem is at cruising speeds about 1/4 throttle truck seems to be in OD and will sit at 1500rpms or what ever im crusing at. But as i add fuel/throttle i can watch the rpms drop till i have abotu 1/2 throttle before (torque converter) locks up or whatever it is and then i get the response im looking for. is there a way trinity can fix this or is my truck too old for tranny fix stuff where i need a custom tune?

one of the guys i work with (work at a Chevy dealer) told me to try and just tap the brake pedal while driving not enough to stop but enough to turn the brake lights on. He said this will cause the TQ converter to lock up ...scanner should then read load 1:1 ? i think sure enough truck picks up rpms ...almost feels like a gear shift at that point.

I thought with the trinity that I could fix this…maybe adjust trans firmness or fuel or something..

Just curious if this is the same issue. Tech (at my dealer) tells me that now that I have exhaust now I am hearing the TQ lock up where as before its designed to be a “smoothâ€
