Do you have that dyno sheet?

Post by Mike_Levy »

The bosses V, do you have the sheet on it? Does it keep making power all the way to redline, or does it start to drop off?

Looking at the GMPP catalog, the LSA has a max rev rating of 6600rpm. The stock PCM has a 6200rpm limiter. Wondering if we raise the limiter and shift points to 6600 and 6400rpm respectively, if there might be more power and performance in this motor.

I'd check it myself, but you know, injectors, pulley, no gas, etc.

EDIT: Its the 2011 GMPP Catalog page 76.

interesting...

looking at a customers (09) and the bosses (11) stock vs tuned dynos, they both pull solid right up to the 6200 rpm limiter...me thinks you may be right.

Heck, I bet raising the shift point and rev limiter on a stocker might be worth .2 ;)

Thats what I thought. Wonder why they pulled the plug so early? Theres gotta be another 10-15hp, at least, up there.

Unless its really rough running up there and they didn't think it was befitting of a luxury car?

So I gather you aren't gonna be testing it on the dyno then?

Not likely, but maybe i can talk Johan into bumping the rev limit and shift points on the bosses stock 2011...
