Kenne Bell Blower
Hi all, just wanted to share that my new Kenne Bell Blower is getting installed on the 17th (next Tues.) I was really happy to learn that they can use my Trinity for the tune. I was under the impression that a specially set up Predator would come with the KB kit so I'm really happy about this. I'll try to get some pics of the install to share.
ricks...... I finally did it!!! (I'm going with the black one).

It would be nice to meet you, but I'm in Virginia.
While you're there, please remind Adam to read my email (also Rick S). I'm thinking about going to 9psi and need his input/tune.
Enjoy the day, and the power!! Congratulations again!

Thanks Rick,
Adam told me that the 9 psi tended to fluctuate in Hp. He said the 8 psi gives us good consistent power and he recommends that over the 9 psi for a daily driver, so I'm following his advice and going with the 8 myself.
I will remind him though.

It's Official, My car has been" BLOWN" by Kenne Bell !!!ricks wrote:Congratulations!
This is so cool! I just went outside and there was a BLOWN SRT8 Challenger sitting in my driveway. I almost had an orgasm. I drove it home yesterday and I thought I was in a different car than the one I took into the shop... and I was. What a HUGE difference that blower makes.
No doubt about it folks. Adam at ST Motorsports IS the go to guy for Kenne Bell Blowers. The install looks like it came from the factory and Adam got the kR down to little .5 blip. I'm So stoked. Just wanted to share my good fortune with you guys/gals. Diablo Sport RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did he install anything different for the Oil Separator? He was talking about making a dual side, self draining oil separator. So, I'm wondering if he ever made it.

How can you have a self draining seperator? Where's the oil gonna go? You sure don't want that oil back in the motor.
RE: Re: RE: Kenne Bell Blower
I don't see any problem with letting it go back into the crankcase.
When the engine is running; oil gets pumped up to the pistons (and rocker arms) for lubrication. As that oil falls back down from the piston rings it hits the rotating crankshaft. In some motors the oil sitting in the oil pan gets hit by the crankshaft also. All of that dripping, hitting, and splashing breaks the oil into very fine droplets.
That creates a very dense fog of vaporized oil in the crankcase. The entire crankcase is filled with vaporized oil. Most of it hits non-moving metal parts, collects on the metal, and drips back into the oil pan. Some of it simply stays in the crankcase. Only some of the vaporized oil gets pulled into the PCV system hose and subsequent catch can or oil separator.
I think the whole "You have to get that nasty, bad oil out of there!" Is an internet forum myth. Yes. We want to stop vaporized oil from making its way into the intake system, and the catch can does that. But, there is no reason why the "collected" oil can't be allowed to drain back into the crankcase. It's the exact same vaporized oil that is bouncing all around in the crankcase, that doesn't get "collected."

Have you ever looked at, or better yet, smelled, the oil that collects? I wouldn't want that crap back in my engine. Its disgusting. Even BT says on their website to never put the oil back in the engine.
