Am I always going to have to be making adjustments to my tuner? Or worry about about something going wrong when the weather changes?

Well, Mikel...I've been reading other peoples posts that talk about adjustments and weather changes. I would like to "load the tune and enjoy" as per your advice. However, that has not been my situation with your product. This Diablo Predator WILL not write correctly to my ECM and I have spent a great deal of time trying to work out the issues with it. I can't keep your tech guys on the phone long enough to work it out without getting disconnected and the dealer tech has done their best to assist me. I've posted several questions in this forum that I thought I would have seen a response from you. Yes, I would like to load and enjoy. I am familiar as to how to load tuners. This tuner fails to even write the original back up smoothly where you can revert back to it. It fails to write the performance tune smoothly. We've tried every way possible including, but not limited to, re-loading the program. Initially, the tuner claimed it could not find the original back up program until I re-loaded the perfomance. Performance didnt load correctly and went into a reboot option. That was the only reason it was able to find it's way back to the original back up program. The performane tune will load, but the truck idles shitty and drives awful. After it idles for a few minutes, it acts like it almost wants to to die. That does not instill a whole lot of confidence in me. I was very, very excted to purchase this tuner. Stupidly, I thought I was going to "load the tune and enjoy" which seems like a well meaning idea (which you obviously agree with in your post). I shouldn't have to be on a forum trying to figure out how to make this tuner work on a 2006 Dodge Cummings. This truck has a clean, stock program on the ECM as I mentioned in my other posts. The motor has been evaluated for any problems and there are none. Why don't you tell me what the is with this '06 and why your diablo predator tuner is having compatibility issues where it can't smoothly and correctly write to my ECM? Because I would like to be happy with the money and time I spent on it. You can email me, if you so choose.

what exactly are your issues?
I just searched all your posts, and I see one post where you start the tune did not go in properly the first time, does that still happen?

Yes, it will not write correctly. After talking to the tech, I recalled that Dodge told me 2006 had two ECM programs for that year. One had an update, mine did not. My complaint was poor fuel mileage and puffing white smoke loaded. They told me that was what the update was for that reason, so they installed it. Anyway, the Predator wrote the initial original back up with this update then was unable to find it after the performance write. The first Performance write went through to the end and said "unable to write" and cycle the key (para-phrasing). Seemingly, it installed it and it was in the log. I left the truck idle for a few minutes and it acted like the idle cycle was missing and the truck wanted to die. I drove it to the house and it had no power. I tried to un-install it and no original backup could be found. I called diablo tech and we located performance in the log. Then, we tried to re-install it. During the re-install it failed (unable to write) and I got disconnected from Diablo. The Tuner sent me to a re-boot option and I took it. Somehow, it found the original back up and I re-installed it. It sounded and felt like it was back to stock.
I called Diablo again the next day and got disconnected. So, I called the dealer tech. We bounced around a few ideas. We decided to use my Bully Dog Power Pup to put the original stock program back on the truck that it had before the updates. We were not really sure if it is the tuner or the ECM program compatitibility. I loaded the PowerPup Original and then the Diablo Perfomance program. It was still unable to write the Perf program. It got to the end and asked me to cycle the and started to run badly again. This time, it found the diablo original back up program and let me claim it with going through the re-boot.
I used my Power Pup to re-install the original (no update) ECM program. It runs so much better without the updates. I didn't even realize it. Depending on where you were in the production line determined whether or not Dodge stocked you with updates.
I thought by using the Power Pup original I could solve the compatibility issue if there was one. I didn't realize that the Diablo Predator already wrote the Original Back up program to the tuner and it was there to stay. I thought it would re-write it with the Power pup original program when prompted. I apologize for being a little sharp in my last message. I'm just aggravated..
