2nd intuner still no luck

Post by rmuccino »

Recieved my second unit and still does not work. Followed the instructions to load on the PC and update. No updated needed unit has latest update. Plugged it into 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with V8 Hemi Gas, message comes up and states "PCM calibration for Vin# is currently not supported. Check for a calibration update" Please unplug and connect to PC to update which I did and you guessed it nothing happens????

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here. Please

Thanks

you do not get the intune updater to launch when you power it up on the PC?
do you see the intune and diablosport drives show up?

After several attempts it now states that the configuration has been uploaded:
Here is what the file looks like:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
-<tool_info> <main svn="4210" sw_rev="1r01h" full_version="InTune-1r01h 03/29/2012 12:07:10 PM"/> <registration status="1" sn="CIEC7C0-1"/> <restore bc="0" vin="1D7HU18278S610549" id="0"/> <db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01d" mfr="GM"/> <db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01a" mfr="DCX"/> <db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01a" mfr="FORD"/> <system_db vin="1r01a" info="1r01a" dtc="1r01a"/> <license tuned="0" avail="1"/> <updates count="1"/> </tool_info>

I do see my Vin there. So I am guessing when I plug it into the Truck it will not give me an error and I will be able to program.

I have installed a K&N high Performance air flow filter 2 weeks ago. Are there any specific programs for this particular setup?

Thanks for you help

No specific changes for the K&N, let us know how it works in the truck.

Mike sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I loaded the intune and just did a simple mod by loading just the mpg booster. Truck went from getting 15.0-15.3 mpg to 13.6-13.9.

Tried restoring the original map and redoing the above, same results. Restored it again and tired a different tune 87 octane mod and that is even worse. Truck runs like it is 20 years old no power on acceleration.

Please advise before I return this project.

thanks

I have never heard of such issues, after tuning 1000s of HEMI rams...any codes?

Mike, there are no codes. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Tonite I will restore the original tune. What do you recommend that I do? Which Tune should I change to and what parameters should I use? I did load the MPG Booster and 87 Octane only but did not change any of the parameters.

Thanks for you help.

often times the MPG readout is way off after flashing, might be a good idea to drive it around for a tank or 2 and check your actual mileage per tank compared to stock.
