2005 Chevrolet Avalanche

Post by Viciouslifter »

I've recently installed the Trinity T-1000 and i haven't noticed any boost in power what so ever. I'm using the DiabloTune option. I had another type of tuner that gave me a whole lot of boost but that was before i installed my new cold air intake and exhaust. Am i not getting any preformance boost because the DiabloTune isn't setup for an aftermarket cold air and exhaust? Do i need to get a custom tune?

Try it without the injector cleaner. Chances are you're getting knock and thats killing your performance. You'll probably need to tweak the tune to get maximum performance.

yup, injector cleaner (anyf uel system or valve cleaner) is always going to hurt performance, assuming it works, as it is cleaning deposits, dropping them in the combustion chamber, and they dont like to burn ;)

Do you have any recommendations on a fuel additive that'll help add more performance not kill it?

And when you say tweak the tune, Which settings? All i should need to accommodate for is the cold air and exhaust right?

NOS Race Booster, 2 bottles (one for every 15 gallons) and only occassionally. Just run straight 93 octane 99.9% of the time.

You'll have to tweak the fuel settings, but first you need to do some logging.

Id spend timelooking for a good quality supply of pump gas before going to additives, but thats just my opinion.

Heres some info on dialing in the CAI:

Is there anywhere I can send a log and they send me back adjustments? I'm a salesman not dyno-tuner! No rudeness intended.

I did about 40 minutes of logging and my computer crashed, i then did another 20 minutes. I saved the 20 minute session is that enough to base a tune modification off of?

Should be more then enough. The program will tell you if it needs more data points.
