inTune CD Rom drive not available

Post by Gr8WytNorth »

Just got my inTune, tried updating it, after doing some searching on the net to get it going on Windows 7 laptop it seemed to update fine and said it was updated in message area at bottom of intune interface on laptop screen.

So then, I plug it into my 2006 300C SRT8 6.1 litre, turn to 'on' when prompted, and get this message;

PCM calibration for 2C3LA73W96H118690 is currently not supported. Check for a calibration update.

So I plug it back into laptop to try another update, and now the CD Rom drive is giving me the message;

Windows Can't Access this Disc

The disc might be corrupt. Make sure that the disc uses a format that windows recognizes. If the disk is unformatted, you need to format it before using it.

It says this under info of the Intune drive, mine are F for the CD and G for the intune Logs and Tunes.

- <tool_info>
<main full_version="InTune-1r01h 03/29/2012 12:07:10 PM" sw_rev="1r01h" svn="4210" />

<system_db dtc="1r01a" vin="1r01a" info="1r01a" />
<license avail="1" tuned="0" />
<updates count="0" />
</tool_info>

The tunes folder is also empty, so I don't think it ever updated properly.

Tool Status;

Hey Mike. I know you are busy as hell with other things, and the new update, but just wondering if this is a quick fix/easy thing for you to email if could send it over. I'm dying to tune up my beast and let it roar.

OK, finally had a chance to try it out. Got through the "tune vehicle" then "write vehicle" options only to have it tell me there is a VIN DATABASE ERROR.

Trying update again, will post update.

In the meantime, if I have to do something else, please post.

After a couple times back and forth, I guess it needed some info from the car to update properly, but it is now done.

Tomorrow, the test drive.

Figures, raining today, couldn't' stomp on it without spinning like crazy, but on the highway, top end is very smooth and seems more responsive.

Thanks guys, great support!

Oh My Effing God!

What a difference. Throttle response is what I expected from the beginning, not the 'soft' peddle that it was. Now, I assume that the extra gas use is due to me testing out the new quickness.

Thanks for a great tool and tremendous support. If you need info or testing from a totally stock 06 300 SRT8, let me know, it's all yours.

My intune did the same to me, I had tuned my truck this morning then plugged it in to update and it started giving me the same problem, I don't know if its my computer or the tuner it's self
