3.5L cold start - hesitation

Post by andyboydinomon »

2010 Challenger SE - 3.5L V6 with 93 gas
9r07 update on predator u7136

I am having hesitation/weak cold starts in the morning with the 93 octane tune installed. After the first start, the car starts fine.

here's the story:

When I first installed the predator the only mod I had was a cutback borla exhaust. With the tune the starts were always great.

A few months ago I added a Mopar cold air intake. A few weeks later I noticed the issues with the cold starts. I put the stock tune on for a week and brought it to dodge. With the stock tune I noticed the starts were getting alittle bit better each day. Dodge checked the car and said nothing was wrong with it. They "flashed" and reset everything just incase.

The car started fine after I got it back for a few days. I then put the 93 tune back on and the next morning I noticed the hesitation again.

Does the CAI require me to use a different tune from the 93 oct tune on the predator???

Thanks,
Andrew

No you shouldnt need a tune for a cold air intake. Not sure why you are getting a hesitation, I havent heard anyother guys having this issue. But let me do some checking around and ask the tuner and see what he thinks.
