power puck mods need guages?

I have a strictly, at this time, stock 04 Cummins with a 6 spd. I was looking for max mpg. Which setting should I run my puck on for maximum mileage and what other mods do I have to have to be safe with my motor? Guages? Exhaust? Air? I will be towing rarely, and if I do, it wont be over 10k lbs . Thanks.

For max mpg, run the 50hp setting. Also, when towing, run the 50hp setting as well if it is over 8k lbs.

No other mods are necessary but a larger exhaust is recommended.
