U7194 tune parameters question

Post by pick_up_man »

Is there some place on this site that tells me what the various tune parameter values are set at for the 93 and 87 octane tunes (like TM and CAGS settings?) I'm not really certain how to view these settings on the tuner itself (just got it yesterday though and haven't fully explored every avenue.)

Thanks for all the great info!

TM and CAGS are generally not affected in the base tunes.
Things like timing and fuel are altered in the tunes.

Am I missing something?

Post by pick_up_man »

I can't find any Torque Management adjustment parameters on my U7194 with 8r10 crom update.

The web page for this unit says I have this parameter to adjust (http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?mo ... Management)

but it's not there with all the other adjustable parameters. I bought this tuner mainly to mess with the abuse mode delay in the throttle response and now I can't find any way to do what is advertised.

Any help would be appreciated!

The u7194 does not yet have TM adjustment for the end user.
This will be added when TCM support is added.

Wow! Seriously not cool considering your product feature page! False advertising methinks. Care to share as to when it will be available?

the U7194 product page doesn't say anything about having TM adjustment capability...

Oh yes, it does. Or if you're a lawyer I guess you could claim it just strongly infers it.

Ok, I'll take you at your word, just and only this once. How about "Click here to see more details on how to adjust parameters." on the U7194 selection under U7194 specific features. And then click on "torque management".

How might a customer ever get the idea this feature might actually be included in a tuner for a vehicle where TM is a serious issue??

yeah, that's the general parameters page that lists parameters available to GM vehicles... that link is on all GM predator pages... not all predators have all parameters... says it on the second line...

"Please note that all parameters listed may not be available on all part numbers."

Yeah, like I said, lawyer speak. Maybe leading your customers down a rathole is acceptable to you guys, but not in my business. I think you owe pick_up_man an apology, at least. I might be more forgiving if I hadn't read through some of these other threads where you appear to promise much and deliver little, at least wrt delivery schedules.

Ain't your buddy and, hey, if you don't want to be taken for a paid apologist, then don't speak and act like one.
