I just purchased the Trinity for my '09 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L V8. Trinity v.1r08k. My local shop recommended the Trinity so I told them to get it ordered. They installed it last wednesday 5/30/12 along with K&N cold air intake. They put a diablo tune on it and I thought their was noticeable difference. Long story short, the following day on thursday it seemed like my truck was a little slow to start but i didnt think too much of it. Then on friday when I jumped in it after work it was dead. I jumped it and drove to moms (she lives in same town i work, but I live 35 mins away) for dinner. After 30 min dinner got in truck and dead again. Jumped it and started drive home. 2 mins down road I thought it would be a good idea just to put the original backup on it. 20% thru TCM write and Trinity resets and says error. Tried again...nothing. Jumped truck and noticed that transmision wont shift, stablitrack needs service light, traction control off, traction contral need service....etc. Researched it and thought battery may be too weak for writing backup/tune. Installed new Optimum red top battery. Truck will start just fine but still wont take any tunes or backup. Im stuck driving moms car and need help!
I now know much more than I did 24-48 hours ago but that doesnt do me good now. It looks like i may need an update to trinity since mine is v.1r08k and "l" is available. Ive tried to download and update but since i have to have backup (i believe at least) on truck and truck wont take backup it says i need a force code.
I have now tried everything I can think of from trying to re-install diablo tune to sending backup from tool to pc and back but my truck keeps kicking out around 40% of TCM write and is saying error, unable to get calibration id TCM. Diagnostic says U0101 "U0101 unknown".
I refuse to take truck back to shop where I bought it because when i called them they told me they dont work on weekend. This is a small town and everyone helps everyone-and they are the ones who installed it on their own when I specifically told them I wanted to be there to see initial tuning...so "F" them!
I could be totally wrong but it looks like I need to download my TCM to site and pray for help tomorrow morning. Please help. Thanks

New Battery...New TCM...Reflash PCM...Now need Calibrated!!
I purchased Diablo Trinity on May 29th and got to enjoy it for 1 whole day before the issues began that I stated in my last post, and as of June 20th I am still without it in my truck. After my original issue in which I was told it was a worse case scenario and that I needed a TCM reflash from dealer and then I would be good to go after Tech team would walk me thru resetting Trinity after seeing work order receipt of reflash. Dealer didnt reflash they actually had to put a whole new TCM in my truck but luckily it was under warranty since Diablo Trinity is unreadable by dealership. After new TCM was installed last week I was able to have John reset my Trinity and I should have been good to go.....except when I attempted to reinstall Diablo tune it would not do it because it said my truck still had a diablo PCM tune on my truck. So I call support back and they tell me another worse case scenario and my truck needed to go back to dealer for PCM reflash this time. The service dept guys aren't idiots and if i were to take it in a week later and ask for a PCM reflash they might get suspicious. So I was able to get it into a certified GM shop last Monday, the 18th, and it cost me $117 bucks to have PCM reflash back to stock. Great, now I was told by tech support that I can re-install Trinity and be good to go......NOPE! Now tuner says my truck's calibration is not supported and my original backup file has been in the hands of the techs since Monday afternoon as they say it needs to be calibrated. Haven't heard a thing from support since. Anybody got any idea how much longer I am looking at till it gets calibrated???
I pat myself on the back for remaining patient through this ordeal but I didn't spend $600 bucks on Trinity to rent a stall at the dealership service department and see how many different ways I can lie to them before I get caught!!! It would be really easy to get pissed and run over the damn thing, but I can't get mad because Mike, John, and Frank have been spot on with fixing the issues in a timely manner, but my concern is do these problems ever come to an end and will I ever get to enjoy Diablo power again???
Tech-please give me an update and i would love some feedback from other trinity owners that have experienced anything similar. Thanks guys

RE: New Battery...New TCM...Reflash PCM...Now need Calibrate
unfortunately after the dealer reflash, they put a new calibration in the tool that we did not yet have support for.
We try to update this application weekly, and I believe there is an update being built today, which will add support for your new PCM calibrations.
Thanks

Problem resolved....Next step custom tune?
Thanks for the quick work guys. I got Mikes message last night with PCM/TCM support. Updated and re-installed and it worked perfect.
I'm now interested in a custom tune to maximize potential so if anyone wants to throw a quote or any ideas at me please do.
Thanks

RE: Problem resolved....Next step custom tune?
Hey there Jake!
Yes, I can definitely get you hooked up!
With the custom tune, you'll gain even better/quicker throttle response & acceleration, stronger/harder pull, smoother & quicker power delivery throughout the rpms, etc... and sometimes, maybe even a little better gas mileage - if you can keep your foot out of it! hahaha...
my complete custom tuning is only $135 USD...
What I'd need from you is a copy of your "original backup" stock tune file, a copy of the "last tune written" tune file, and the paypal (there are "Buy Now" paypal buttons on my site), and that's it... then we're good to go. and I can usually have the initial custom tune done and sent back to you within 24 - 48 hours from the time that I receive everything.
Here's info about my custom tuning:
http://www.diablewtune.com/
there are links on there to all the info and programs you'll need - i.e. what tune files I need, how to export/import tune files, etc...
as well as a link to just a small sample of just some of the "Testimonials" I've received from people I've done my tunes for - makes for good reading, hehe.
for your Trinity, you would need to follow the info/instructions at #4 on my site...
once I get the initial custom tune done and sent back to you and you install it, then you'll need to put on about 100 miles over a few days of normal driving, and then I'll have you do a data log for me so I can check the fueling/timing and do some fine-tuning adjustments...
Thanks for asking man!!
